A glimpse of summer

Red_tree

My husband Jac took this photo, near our home, a few days before Christmas.   It seems that it captured the one day of summer...well so far anyway. So I thought I would share our photo with you in case you are seeking a 'sunny day'.

My Mother, who is 91 years of age, wrote me a poem for Christmas.  As a retired accountant she cleverly called the first part 'Annual Report for year ended 31 December 2011' where she overviewed my year.  But it was the ending, the part she called "The Auditor's Report', that has been most insightful for me.  I thought as we step into a New Year I would share it with you.

"It's strange but true, your Mother says, but you will remember this time as "The Good Old Days'.  When you are old you will recall that these were the days when you had it ALL."

Happy New Year and Holiday Season to you all and let's embrace and treasure each precious day.

This Week's Motivation from Carolyn

As we stand on the brink of a New Year all things are possible. You can look ahead and decide to make this year work for you or against you.
Regardless this year will pass.
Make sure this year that you achieve your goal rather than have only wished for it.
